Our Story

CandidateSide™ was born out of a simple, yet powerful question: How many jobs do I need to apply to in order to land one? See our founder’s struggle in his own words, when he had to search for a new job.

“In 2020 the world changed because of COVID. I worked at an innovation lab, one of only 3 in the world that was newly minted. Unfortunately, the market would change drastically and the lab would close. I had convinced others to join this company as well, and all of a sudden I found myself with a new mortgage and several colleagues who needed a job.

My background was in growth, so I thought how many jobs do I need to apply to ensure I get a job? That question spawned the beginning of CandidateSide™. I met Jamal (who leads our placement team) and he applied to jobs for me to get me not 1 but 4 offers. Our profession is so much to our identity. Good or not, it comprises a lot of our worth, our ability to provide, and the biggest part of our day. What if we could do this for other people?

After fine-tuning the process for others and placing a couple of tester candidates, CandidateSide was born. Our mission, to place 1,000,000 Candidates into jobs they love and to use labor in developing nations to do so. For every 100 people we place we affect over 1,000 people.”
