How does CandidateSide™ work in a nutshell?

We are recruiters working on behalf of candidates, not employers. We assist with resumes, job titles, interviews, and apply to jobs for you. If we successfully place you, we charge a percentage of your salary, payable over 5 months.

How does this work if I want to try the service?

To try the service, fill out this form. We will review your resume/job titles and apply to 200 jobs, typically leading to 1 to 4 interviews. This allows you to experience our service, and for us to determine if we can place you. After your first interview (or 200 job applications, whichever comes first), we will offer a full contract. You can decide whether to continue working with us — there’s no obligation if you choose not to.

What do you charge for the service?

We charge a percentage of the salary once you are placed. Usually, we don't charge upfront fees. However, for some candidates, where placement concerns exist, we may require an upfront charge.

What happens after I pay for the trial?

The trial period is where we apply to 200 jobs on your behalf. This also gives both parties a chance to evaluate each other. Once you pay for the trial we create a Job List for you and add sample jobs based on the information provided in your application form. We will ask you to review those jobs and rate them. Once they are rated, we will optimize your resume to align with those jobs and start applying with it, until either the trial expires or you get your first interview.

What if I don't want to continue the trial?

The trial comes with a no questions asked, 30 day money back guarantee. If at any point, you don't feel like continuing the trial, please let us know by email and we will refund the amount.

How long will it take to place me?

It varies from case to case. A good assessment is that during the trial, if you get say 2 interviews, we anticipate your placement within 5 months of working with us. But if you get say 3-4 interviews during the trial, we would most likely place you in 2-3 months of working with us. Find out our industry wise average placement time here.

What happens after the trial is over?

The trial is an opportunity for you to see what's it like to work with CandidateSide. Once the trial reaches its end, we will offer you a contract to continue your job search process, until you are placed in your new role.

What happens if I get an interview during the trial?

This means that our process can work for you in getting you interviews. Once you get an interview, we follow up with a contract call and discuss the specifics of our contract with you. Signing the contract means we will work for you, until you are placed in your new job.

What happens if I don't get an interview during the trial?

Sometimes you need to apply to a larger volume of jobs in order to land your first interview. This is especially true for more senior roles. In which case we will offer you the contract, should you like to continue the process with us beyond 200 jobs.

How do I communicate with the team?

We will create a Slack channel for you, where you will be able to chat with the team. You will also be notified here of all the updates with regards to your job search process. We advise you to download Slack on your phone and Laptop and keep the notifications "on".

What are resume buckets and how do they work?

The resume buckets gives you the flexibility to tailor your resume for wider pool of job titles. Often our candidates have worn several hats during their previous jobs. Which means they are capable of performing under different job titles but apply to these jobs with the same resume. While tailoring your resume for individual job is the market gold standard, our approach is more practical. How to contact your support team?

Candidates in the program should reach out via their private Slack channel or directly to their recruiters. If you're not in the program, you can contact us at team@candidateside.com. Please note, we only work with candidates located in the United States.

Where are you located?

We are a fully remote team, with half of our members in the United States and the other half spread globally. However, we exclusively work with candidates based in the United States.
